Smart Start provides structured academic time during the summer where students strengthen core skills, rebuild productive routines, and regain the confidence needed to approach the next school year successfully.

Our Philosophy

Why We Call Them Academic Coaches — Not Tutors

At Mon Amie's Solutions™, we believe that education is more than transferring knowledge — it's about empowering students to become confident, independent learners. That's why we use the term Academic Coaches. Here's what that means in practice.

Holistic Approach

Our coaches don't just help with homework. They guide students through the learning process, building study skills, critical thinking, and a growth mindset.

Personalized Support

Every strategy is tailored to the unique needs and learning style of each student. No one-size-fits-all solutions here.

Goal-Oriented

Coaches work with students to set achievable goals, track progress, and celebrate milestones — encouraging accountability and motivation.

Mentorship Beyond Academics

Our coaches inspire students to build resilience, time management, and communication skills — preparing them for life, not just exams.

A Community of Learners

When you join Mon Amie's Learning Lab™, you're joining a community that values curiosity, growth, and collaboration at every level.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Families Ask Most

How many sessions will a $1,500 voucher cover?

A $1,500 voucher covers 25 one-on-one sessions (once or twice a week) or 37 group sessions. Parents cover the cost of sessions once the voucher is depleted if they wish to continue.

How do I know if my child is eligible for a voucher?

Vouchers are available for qualifying public school students based on academic performance and financial need. Contact us to discuss your specific situation and we'll help determine eligibility.

What subjects do you offer tutoring in?

We offer tutoring in Mathematics, English Language Arts, Literacy, Reading & Comprehension, and Organizational Skills Training. All services are tailored to meet the needs of each student.

How do I enroll my child?

Enrolling is easy. Complete the K–8 Tutoring Registration form or schedule directly through Acuity. Our team will guide you through the rest.

How soon can my child start?

Once enrolled, your child can start as soon as the next available session that fits your schedule. We strive to accommodate new students promptly.

Is online tutoring available?

Yes — however, online tutoring is not effective for every child. Success depends on the student's age, attention span, and ability to work with a tutor independently. If virtual sessions are not working, we will communicate this to the parent and help find a better fit.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to cancel without penalty. Sessions canceled within 4 hours or missed without notice will be charged 50% of the session fee. After three no-call no-shows, students may be removed from the program to allow space for other families.

Can parents attend sessions?

Parents are welcome to be present during on-site sessions but cannot become a distraction. For virtual sessions, parents of children in grades K–2 should remain nearby to help with redirection and computer assistance. Students should be dressed appropriately and in a presentable, organized space.

What supplies does my child need?

Students should bring paper, pencil, and a folder for worksheets to each session. Supplies are not provided but are essential for success in the program.

Can vouchers be used for Organizational Skills Training?

No. Vouchers cannot be applied to Organizational Skills Training. This service is available as a private-pay option.

"Investing in your child's education now can lead to significant academic and personal growth for the rest of their life. The village believes in your child — and so do we."
